Editors’ Review
BatchPhoto doesn’t include any home run features, but its step-by-step walkthroughs make it great for beginners. It lets anyone crop, add borders, annotate, and apply filters and effects to multiple photos at once. If you’re new to the photo-editing world, it might be the program you’re looking for if you’ve got a little cash to spend.
You can use all of the features of this program without paying, but it will put a watermark on your photos. The program starts you off with a click-through tutorial, complete with videos, that can take some time to complete. Luckily, you can exit the tutorial at any time and get right to work. Editing photos with the program follows the same step-by-step process of the tutorial. BatchPhoto’s wizard boils everything down to a few stages — Add Photos, Edit Photos, Setup, and Process. In the main editing stage, you can apply filters, borders, and other decorations that will lighten up your pictures. You can also crop and resize photos, as well as add text with relative ease. Once you’ve clicked “Process,” the program goes to work, but it doesn’t overwrite your photos in case you mess up. It also doesn’t take very long for the program to process and edit your photos, which is a plus.
With BatchPhoto, you’re not paying for advanced features, but for ease of use. If you’re new to editing photos, then this is a perfect choice. The $29.95 charge is worth paying just to learn the ropes before investing in more expensive options that are generally much harder to use.
